Review: Kodex Vanilla White Munchies
The Kodex Vanilla White Munchies come under the beady eye of Angler’s Mail tackle editor Richard Howard. He’s the No.1 products inspector, checking out loads of quality kit every week.
Description: irregular-shaped hook baits that are soft and buoyant.
Ingredients: made from ‘100 per cent natural’ ingredients.
My verdict: Vanilla White is a new addition to this hook bait range, joining Pineapple Green, Krill Red, Corn Yellow and the Almond Pink Munchies. Popped-up off the bottom or presented on the surface, it looks like a good choice of hook bait when you are feeding bread.
Their texture feels a bit like rubber, but they are tough enough to withstand the rigours of casting. Their ragged shape helps them to look ‘natural’ in the water, and they’ve been designed to ooze colour, not flavour, to attract fish.
These baits will win you takes, particularly when fishing for carp on venues where anglers use a lot of bread. They’ll last longer on the hook than bread, and you can give them a boost by dipping them in Kodex Ectoplasm.
Price: £4.99 a tub.
